It is forecast to move west northwest at 19 kph. Intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) affecting Mindanao. Southwesterly surface windflow prevailing over Western Luzon.

        Visayan Electric Company, Inc.’s (VECO) Transmission and Distribution Department (T & D) has scheduled the maintenance and upgrading of primary lines on May 28, 2005 that will require power interruption of the following:
1) Lateral portion of EMT50 at ERMITA substation.

        Time: 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM

        Purpose: To facilitate replacement of rotten poles, reconstruction of
                    crossarm and upgrading of primary lines.

        Areas/customers affected: Encarnacion St., part of Uytenzo and
                    Ascension St., Cebu City.
